I gave this lecture in March 2003 as part of my work at Innovation Catalyst, on three aspects of technology and architecture. It was geared to graduate students developing web interfaces to represent their research. I wanted to make distinctions about technology as an instrument, while focussing on its social benefits, pointing towards the future of collaborative technology and architectural practice.
